Is that subtle feeling true?
We can agree that something that has substance, something we can see and touch is real, like my chair. But something that is true has to be backed up with evidence. Mathematics is a concept that is true but not real. 2 + 2 =4.
We can agree on that concept because we can gather 2 items and add them to two other items and see that we have 4 items in total.
There are many things that are real but not true. The stories I make up in my head seem real but they're not always true. I ask myself, "Can I trust what I see with my own eyes? Is it really the person I think it is speaking and moving on a screen, or a realistic, computer generated image designed to sound
convincing to fabricate a reality from someone else's agenda?"
Lately, it seems that my world is upside down and flowing in and out of what I formerly called reality. One thing I know for sure is, my inner knowing, from within my belly, heart and sovereign being cannot be faked. When something is off, even if it looks completely acceptable on the surface, my body feels the tightening. When something is right and aligned with my values, my heart warms and softens. When a deep
truth is expressed or witnessed, goose bumps remind me I'm connected with spirit. When a lie is flown into the air, it lands heavy with a palpable alarm buzz in my belly. The way my breathing is full and smooth when I witness the monks walking for peace, the way my whole system contracts into self-protection when I hear about unnecessary violence. Do you feel it too?
I'm talking about discernment through the body. When we can connect somatically to the felt sensations inside,
we can begin to trust those signals and practice taking good care of our precious life force energy, our nervous systems. We cultivate a deeper relationship with what we cannot see but can deeply feel. It is our energy body that holds ancient wisdom, accurate guidance and quiet peace amidst accelerated change.
These times invite us to dive into an authentic relationship with our inner compass, to connect with our sensations, speak them out loud or journal about them, ground
our attention on what we feel, breathe deeply until that inner channel becomes more clear. We thrive when we take care of our earth, our bodies.
Try this: Thank your feet, hips, belly, heart and throat for the information they share. Our bodies tell us the truth; always have, always will.
When the world becomes more sketchy, you can become more internally connected, clear, authentic, aligned with your
values, anchored to source, to love.
Take radically good care of yourself and let's take care of each other.
