Non Sleep Deep Rest is a term coined by Dr. Andrew Huberman, professor at Stanford University's School of Medicine. It is more easily understood than Yoga Nidra. Essentially, we are talking about the same thing. It is a form of guided meditation leading to a state between wakefulness and sleep.
