Somatic Psychedelic Integration Meetup group Monday, February 6, 2023 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at Weaverville Yoga, 3 Florida Ave., downtown Weaverville,
NC
Each Meetup, held the first Monday of every month, provides an educational offering with simple, easy
to adopt mindfulness, movement and breathing practices, as well as other useful tools for somatic integration. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and open sharing. We will be sitting, not practicing yoga. Donations are appreciated.
Why is it essential to include your body in your integration process?
Imagine you just received an insight - It is a sudden discovery of a new perception or solution
- You have observed something not outwardly apparent
- Intuitively, you simply know the inner value
- You have discerned
a truth about yourself and want to reinforce it
Integrating a new insight is critical to making it stick. You want to take it from your head into your lived reality. Merging the insight with physical action is the best way to bring it home to your body and weave it into your new, daily habit patterns. You can do that with micro-movements, mindful moments and breathing breaks. |
Somatic IntegrationSomatic integration is a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to self-directed healing that includes the body. Come home to your body and practice short and simple movements, gestures, postures and breathing styles to effectively seal in your new habit. Once it is in your muscle memory, the new insight slowly weaves into your everyday way of being. From there, you perceive and function
differently, with your new insight ingrained into the fabric of your life. |
Glean the Optimal BenefitYour reason(s) for wanting to experience a psychedelic journey may range from recreation to healing, exploration or spiritual transcendence. Whatever your “why”, coming away with a sense of meaning is key. To glean the optimal benefit and minimize the most common mistakes, join us at our in-person meetup group.
I'm teaching a NEW yoga class, all about integration! You will discover how to listen to your body, trust its wisdom and take effective action that will absolutely move you toward wholeness. This class is a super combination of movement, breathing
and mindful self-discovery. It will be slow, simple and deeply powerful. I am so excited to have you join me. Integrative Yoga Description Have you experienced new personal insights, revelations, feelings, dreams, or ideas while in an enhanced state of consciousness? Enhanced states of consciousness can occur during a traumatic or peak experience, or through interior practices such as breathwork, meditation, yoga
nidra, working with healers, or ingesting plant medicines. This class layers asana (yoga poses) with pranayama (breathing practices) and mindfulness. You will explore ways to move your insights through your body and into your lived reality. Your focus will be on cultivating a gradual, simple, expanding sense of self to activate more energy and integrate new perceptions, thereby weaving them into your everyday functioning. Class begins on Monday, Feb. 6 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Asheville Community
