Why pay attention to breathing? The big deal about breathing
is linked directly to the importance of oxygen, we need it constantly, every single cell inside depends on it. Inhaling involves a large
muscle called the diaphragm. It flexes downward to help draw air into your lungs. Your lungs are one of the largest organs in your body. They work together with the rest of your respiratory system to keep your cells consistently supplied with oxygen. When you put one hand on
your chest, and the other on your belly, you can feel them rise and fall with each inhale and exhale. This is what keeps you alive. So, what if you could access
more breathing power to not just survive but to thrive? Integrative Breathwork offers this access. People who practice breathwork regularly report: - Greater capacity to receive inner
guidance/intuition
- Reduction in anxiety and depression
- Greater connection with their body
- Greater self-confidence
- Enhanced ability to relax and feel naturally at ease
- More trust in themselves; realizing answers are within
- Less reactivity
- Increased distress tolerance/resilience
- Increased clarity/autonomy
Integrative Breathwork Sessions Breathwork may just be the quickest way to quiet your typical mind chatter and
listen to your inner guiding wisdom from your body (not your brain). It helps us attune to what needs attention, and get unstuck. We know where the limiting beliefs are, how to perceive ourselves differently and respond wisely. We are Integrative Breathwork Facilitators. The next online session is Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm Eastern time.

Somatic Psychedelic Meetup group Monday, November 7 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at Weaverville Yoga (3 Florida Ave in Weaverville, NC). Each Meetup, held the first Monday of every month, provides an educational offering with simple, easy
to adopt mindfulness, movement and breathing practices, as well as other useful tools for somatic integration. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and open sharing. Seating and refreshments are provided, donations are appreciated. Why include your body in your integration process? In expanded states of consciousness we get visceral, felt-sense understandings that allow us to see ourselves in full-truth. The truth literally feels different from a concept; we access it through our body rather than through our thinking. The most effective integration afterward involves the visceral, felt-sense of taking action with our body. Action-taking can look as simple as a gesture that emphasizes a new boundary or a posture that feels open in the chest or a facial expression that includes a slight smile. You might begin to sing, dance, create art, breathe deeply when stressed, prioritize sleep or switch to
drinking tea instead of coffee. There are so many ways to include our bodies in our new ways of perceiving and functioning after experiencing an enhanced state of being. |

All of us are being called to learn resiliency and adapt to rapidly changing conditions. There is an acceleration to the dismantling of old structures and systems that no longer make sense. It may seem as if everything is falling apart but, in fact, there is a huge new construction project underway at a deeper level. Can you feel it? You cannot see it with your eyes but if you feel for it in your belly, heart and throat, you
might sense something precious and good that wants to emerge. Eddie and I are all about slowing down, making things simple, breathing into the belly, moving in ways that feel good, watching our thoughts, adding curiosity to the thoughts that feel disempowering and enthusiasm to the ones that feel supportive of our mindful emergence. There is a vast expanse of innate wisdom inside your body. You can learn to listen and feel for it. Can we help you discover your innate guiding
wisdom? |
