Somatic Psychedelic Meetup group Monday, October 3 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at Weaverville Yoga (3 Florida Ave in Weaverville, NC).
Imagine you just received an insight - It is a sudden discovery of a new perception or solution
- You have observed something not outwardly apparent
- Intuitively, you simply know the inner value
- You have discerned
a truth about yourself and want to reinforce it
Integrating a new insight is critical to making it stick. You want to take it from your head into your lived reality. Merging the insight with physical action is the best way to bring it home to your body and weave it into your new, daily habit patterns. You can do that with micro-movements, mindful moments and breathing breaks. |
Breathwork, Spiritual or Psychedelic Experiences
Insights and revelations can come through specific breathing practices such as Integrative Breathwork, a spiritually transformative event such as a peak experience in nature or through a psychedelic experience such as a psilocybin journey. Somatic IntegrationSomatic integration is a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to self-directed healing that includes the body. Journaling and talking to a
supportive individual, therapist or support group is a great start, but we can come home to our body and practice short and simple movements, gestures, postures and breathing styles to effectively seal in the new habit. Once it is in our muscle memory, the new insight slowly weaves into our everyday way of being. From there we effectively perceive and function differently, with our new insight ingrained into the fabric of our lives. |
Glean the Optimal BenefitYour reason(s) for wanting to experience a psychedelic journey may range from recreation to healing, to exploration or spiritual transcendence. Whatever your “why”, coming away with a sense of meaning is key. To glean the optimal benefit and minimize the most common blind spots, please join us at our new meetup group. Listen to the talk about the value of integration and how to actually do it. You will
have an opportunity to practice the short and simple body-based movements and breathing practices that strengthen new neural pathways and build resiliency in your nervous system. There will be time for questions and answers. |
