Somatic Integration
Somatic integration is a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to self-directed healing that includes the body. Journaling and talking to a supportive individual, therapist or support
group is a great start, but we can come home to our body and practice short and simple movements, gestures, postures and breathing styles to effectively seal in the new habit. Once it is in our muscle memory, the new insight slowly weaves into our everyday way of being. From there we effectively perceive and function differently, with our new insight ingrained into the fabric of our lives.
